Fan Rotation, Outlet Angle and Drive Arrangement Explained

A centrifugal fan can be built to discharge in different directions and to rotate either way, so it drops cleanly into your existing duct run. Our casings are available for left or right rotation with outlet angles selectable at 0°, 45°, 90°, 135°, 180°, 225° and 270°, letting the discharge point exactly where your ductwork needs it without awkward transitions.

Drive arrangement is the other choice: direct drive couples the impeller straight to the motor for compactness and low maintenance, while belt drive lets you tune fan speed to the duty point and is easier to service. When you order, specify rotation, outlet angle and drive type — or send us your layout and we will recommend the arrangement that minimises ductwork and pressure loss.
