The standard material for our centrifugal fans is carbon steel (Q235), which is strong, cost-effective and well suited to clean air and non-corrosive gas up to 80 °C. For most ventilation, milling, forging and conveying duties it is the right choice. The question of material only changes when the gas stream is corrosive, damp or has hygiene requirements.
For mildly corrosive or washdown environments, stainless steel 304 resists rust and is easy to clean. For aggressive chemical or chloride exposure, 316L offers superior corrosion resistance. We can build impeller and casing in carbon steel, 304 or 316L, and add anti-corrosion coatings where a full stainless build is not warranted — matching material to duty rather than over-specifying.
